Quick Tech Tips & Microsoft Feature Updates

Problem: I wish I could view my calendar and tasks in one screen without having to open multiple tabs/apps.

Solution: Outlook Boards! This new feature is available in Outlook on the Web. To create a board simply open your Outlook Calendar in your browser, click the drop down in the top right (to the left of “share”) and click “Board”. From there, you can customize your Board to include your calendar, notes, tasks, and more.

Problem: I don’t like that Teams always opens files within the Teams app. How can I get files to open in the desktop apps rather than Teams?

Solution: The new update allows you to change file opening defaults. Use the ellipsis button next to the file to choose how to open the file OR click “change the default” and select the default method for opening files!
